About Caliper

Named for the instrument, not the marketing

A caliper measures to a tolerance and reports what it finds. That is the entire premise of this company: supply research material, measure it properly, publish the measurement.

Why we started

Caliper Research was founded in 2021 by a group of people who had spent several years buying research peptides for laboratory work and had become tired of the same three problems: purity figures nobody could verify, certificates of analysis that were identical across unrelated products, and suppliers whose websites read like supplement marketing.

The problems compound. A lot arrives, the assay behaves oddly, and there is no way to determine whether the material was wrong, degraded in transit, or fine and the protocol was at fault — because the only documentation is an undated PDF with a number on it. Weeks get spent on troubleshooting that a real certificate of analysis would have resolved in five minutes.

We built the supplier we wanted to buy from. A certificate of analysis for every lot, tied to a lot number you can check against the vial in your hand, reproduced exactly as the laboratory issued it. And no personal-results testimonials, no invented reviews, no content that would embarrass anyone in an audit.

How we operate

We are a distributor, not a synthesis house, and we are direct about that. Material is produced for us by a manufacturing partner and assayed by an independent laboratory. What we add is the part most resellers skip: the certificate for your specific lot travels with your order, unedited, and we refuse intake on anything whose paperwork doesn't match the vials.

Every lot is third-party tested. The assay is performed by an independent analytical laboratory, and the certificate is issued in that laboratory's name. This is in place today on every compound in the catalog, not an ambition for later.

That is the part of this business worth paying for: not a supplier's word about its own material, but a result from a laboratory with nothing riding on the answer. Most of this industry tests in-house and calls it quality control.

The scope we work in

We supply reference standards to laboratories that test things. Our team can help with the analytical side of that — a purity figure you cannot reproduce, an unexpected mass, a certificate you want read back to you. We do not publish testimonials describing personal results. We do not reference human or veterinary use in any product copy. These are not legal formalities we tolerate — they are the operating constraint that defines what a research supplier is, and suppliers that treat them casually tend to be casual about batch testing too.

The correlation is not accidental. A company willing to publish human-use content it knows it should not publish is making a series of judgments about what it can get away with, and quality control is one of those judgments.

We are not a pharmacy or a compounder. Caliper supplies materials for in-vitro laboratory research only and cannot advise on any human or veterinary application.

Operating principles

Four rules we don't bend

Document everything

If we cannot show you the chromatogram, we do not make the claim. Every number on this site traces back to a lot, a method and a laboratory.

Stay inside the scope

We supply reference standards to analytical testing laboratories. That is the whole of what we do, and the whole of what we comment on.

Name the source

Who tested a lot, by what method, on what date: on the certificate, in that laboratory's name. Claims we cannot substantiate do not go on the site.

Answer the actual question

A solubility question gets a solubility answer from someone who has handled the sequence, not a canned reply from a ticket macro.
