Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of this website and your purchase of materials from Caliper Research Labs LLC ("Caliper", "we", "us"). By accessing this website or placing an order you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use this website.

We may revise these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that order.

Purchaser eligibility

Purchases are restricted to qualified research professionals, laboratories, universities and research institutions. By placing an order you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years of age, that you are qualified to handle research chemicals safely, and that the materials will be used exclusively for legitimate in-vitro laboratory research.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order at our discretion, including where we have reason to believe the materials may be intended for use other than laboratory research. We may request institutional verification before releasing an order.

Products and specifications

All materials are supplied for Research Use Only. Product descriptions, research application summaries and specification values are provided for laboratory reference. The binding specification for any given shipment is the certificate of analysis supplied with that lot.

We reserve the right to modify the catalog, specifications and pricing without notice. Specification values published on product pages are release criteria; lot-specific results appear on the certificate of analysis.

Orders, pricing and payment

All prices are in United States dollars and exclude shipping and applicable taxes. Submitting an order request through this website does not constitute acceptance; a contract of sale is formed only when we confirm the order and stock availability.

We accept major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Institutional purchase orders are accepted on approved accounts. Payment must clear before dispatch.

Where a pricing or description error is identified, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund any payment taken in full.

Shipping and title

Orders placed before 2:00 PM PT on a business day are dispatched the same day, subject to stock and payment clearance. Delivery estimates are estimates and not guarantees.

Title and risk of loss pass to the purchaser on delivery to the carrier. Claims for loss or damage in transit must be raised within 72 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of the packaging and contents.

We currently ship within the United States only. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that receipt and possession of the materials is lawful in their jurisdiction.

Returns and batch conformity

Unopened vials with intact seals may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund less a restocking fee. Opened vials cannot be returned for contamination-control reasons. Return authorization must be obtained before shipping anything back.

Where material fails to conform to the specification on its certificate of analysis, we will replace or refund it in full, with no restocking fee and no time limit, on independent verification against our retained sample.

Compliance and prohibited use

You agree not to administer any material supplied by us to humans or animals; not to resell, transfer or redistribute any material for non-research use; not to represent any material as approved for any therapeutic, diagnostic or cosmetic purpose; and to comply with all applicable federal, state and local law.

Violation of these obligations terminates your right to purchase from us and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, layout, graphics, product photography, technical documentation, the CALIPER name and mark, and the compilation thereof — is the property of Caliper Research Labs LLC and is protected by United States and international intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any part of this website without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Materials are supplied without warranty beyond conformity to the certificate of analysis for the lot delivered. All other warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Caliper Research Labs LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Total liability arising from any order is limited to the purchase price of the material in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
