Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Caliper Research Labs LLC collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to this website and to orders placed through it.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, telephone number, shipping address, institution or laboratory name, order contents and any message you send us. Where an institutional account is opened we may additionally collect billing contact details and purchase order references.
We collect limited technical information automatically: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages visited and timestamps. This is used for security, fraud prevention and aggregate analytics.
We do not collect special categories of personal data and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 years of age.
How we use information
We use personal information to process and fulfil orders; verify purchaser eligibility; provide customer support; send transactional communications such as order confirmations, certificates of analysis and shipping notifications; prevent fraud and misuse; comply with legal obligations; and, where you have opted in, send occasional product and technical updates.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Payment information
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Full card numbers are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible from our servers. We retain only the transaction reference and the last four digits for reconciliation.
Retention
Order records are retained for seven years to satisfy tax and commercial record-keeping obligations. Support correspondence is retained for three years. Marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are retained for 90 days.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
To exercise any right, email support@caliperresearch.org. We respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
Security
This website is served over TLS. We apply access controls, encryption at rest for order records, and least-privilege administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by revising the date at the top of this page. Questions, and any request to access or delete your data, may be directed to support@caliperresearch.org.
