Ordering & Eligibility
Purchases are limited to qualified research professionals, laboratories, universities and institutions ordering materials for legitimate in-vitro research. By placing an order you affirm that you are at least 21 years of age and that the materials will be used strictly for laboratory research purposes.
No. Individual qualified researchers may order directly. Institutional accounts are available for laboratories that require purchase orders, net terms, or consolidated invoicing — contact our team to set one up.
Yes. We source and screen custom sequences for institutional clients. Send the sequence, required purity, quantity and timeline to our team and we will return a quote, typical lead time and the analytical package we can provide.
We accept major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Institutional purchase orders are accepted on approved accounts.
Quality & Testing
Seven tests, on every lot: purity by HPLC, identity by LC-MS, water activity, endotoxin, residual solvents, elemental impurities, and net peptide content by calculation. All seven are reported on the certificate supplied with your order.
Yes. Each COA is tied to a single manufacturing lot and carries that lot number, assay date, instrument method and analyst signature. A generic or undated COA is a warning sign anywhere in this industry — ours are never generic.
A third-party independent laboratory, separate from the facility that synthesizes the material and separate from us. The certificate of analysis is issued in that laboratory's name and we reproduce it exactly as issued — we do not edit it, summarize it, or put our own name on it.
Chain assembly — the solid-phase synthesis itself — is performed by our manufacturing partner outside the United States. Everything after that is performed at a contract laboratory in the United States: formulation, filtration, lyophilization, vialing and release testing. We describe our products as formulated and finished in the USA, not synthesized in the USA, because that is what is accurate. Release testing is performed by an independent laboratory, not by the facility that assembled the chain.
Yes. Current lot COAs for every catalog item are published on the Quality & Testing page, and each product page links to the document for the lot currently shipping.
Shipping & Returns
In-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM PT on a business day ship the same day. Orders placed after cutoff, on weekends or on holidays ship the next business day.
Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for the duration of domestic transit. Cold-chain shipping with gel packs and insulated packaging is available at checkout for clients whose protocols require documented temperature control.
Unopened vials with intact seals may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund less a restocking fee. Opened vials cannot be returned for contamination-control reasons. If a batch fails to meet its published specification, we replace or refund it in full — no restocking fee, no time limit.
Photograph the packaging and contents before handling further and contact us within 72 hours of delivery. Damaged shipments are replaced at no cost.
Handling & Storage
At −20 °C, protected from light, in the original sealed vial with its desiccant. Held that way, lyophilized peptide is stable for years rather than months. For medium-term storage a 2–8 °C refrigerator is sufficient, and for short periods — including transit — ambient temperature is fine.
Because lyophilized peptide does not need it, and a thawing cold pack is worse than none. A gel pack warms over a multi-day transit and leaves the vial sitting in a cycling temperature, which is the condition that actually degrades peptide. Dry powder shipped at ambient temperature arrives in better condition. Cold-chain packaging is available at checkout where a protocol requires documented temperature control.
Comfortably longer than domestic transit takes. Lyophilized peptide tolerates weeks at room temperature without measurable loss against specification; what it does not tolerate is repeated warming and cooling. Move it to −20 °C on arrival and the transit window is immaterial.
Lyophilized vials are stoppered under reduced pressure or inert gas. A slight draw when the septum is pierced is normal. A vial with no draw at all and a discolored or shrunken cake should be photographed and reported to us before use.
Legal & Compliance
Research Use Only (RUO) designates material intended solely for laboratory investigation. RUO material is not manufactured under pharmaceutical GMP for human administration, carries no approved indication, and may not be marketed, labeled or represented for diagnostic or therapeutic use in humans or animals.
Analytical questions about the material we supply: purity, identity, stability, solubility, storage, and interpreting the certificate for your lot. If your result disagrees with the certificate — an unexpected mass, a purity figure you cannot reproduce, a chromatogram that looks wrong — that is exactly the kind of question to send us. Anything outside analytical laboratory testing falls outside our scope and we cannot comment on it.
No. None of the materials in our catalog are approved by the FDA for human or veterinary use, and no statement on this site has been evaluated by the FDA.
No. Caliper does not stock, source or ship any scheduled controlled substance.
Reference standards for in-vitro analytical laboratory testing. The material is sold to laboratories that measure things, for the purpose of measuring things — method development, instrument calibration, comparison against an in-house result. That is the whole scope. Anything outside analytical laboratory testing is outside what we supply and outside what we are able to comment on.
